Walk to Debotakhum

They know the trail and can arrange food and overnight stays.
There is no bridge across the Sangu. You cross by small boat near the cleft. The boat fee is 50–100 taka per person. The cleft itself is a vertical crack in a cliff face. Water seeps through the rock. The best view is from the opposite bank. You can stand inside the cleft for photos, but the floor is slippery.

Foreigners need a permit to enter Bandarban district. Apply at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Bandarban town. Bring your passport and two passport-sized photos.
